Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 principles.

  • Develop and improve procedures, work instructions, forms, records and document-control practices.

  • Translate standards, customer requirements and technical specifications into practical and effective controls.

  • Define control plans for incoming inspection, production, post-processing, final inspection and product release.

  • Establish acceptance criteria, inspection methods and quality performance indicators.

  • Authorize product release and place any lot, product or process on hold when compliance has not been demonstrated.

  • Manage non-conformities, deviations, root-cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness reviews.

  • Ensure the traceability of materials, batches, critical process parameters, inspections and release decisions.

  • Participate in change control, process validation and the transfer of new products into production.

  • Qualify suppliers, monitor their performance, validate their processes and coordinate First Article Inspections (FAIs).

  • Monitor customer complaints, returns, post-release defects and quality trends.

  • Prepare and coordinate internal, customer and external audits.

  • Work with Production and R&D to reduce scrap, rework, variability and recurring issues.

  • Supervise the quality control team, establish priorities and support the development of team members’ skills.

  • Implement dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making.

  • Identify process gaps, recommend practical solutions, implement them and verify their effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Relevant experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and the ability to maintain and improve a quality management system.

  • Experience in quality control, from incoming material inspection through final inspection and product release.

  • Ability to read and interpret standards, specifications and customer requirements.

  • Strong experience managing non-conformities, conducting root-cause analyses and following up on corrective actions.

  • Experience in supplier quality, including qualification, performance monitoring, process validation and First Article Inspection.

  • Knowledge of change control, validation, traceability and document management.

  • Ability to define acceptance criteria, inspection methods and quality performance indicators.

  • Ability to understand technical processes and work effectively with Production and R&D teams.

  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, to collaborate with international partners, suppliers and customers.
