Our Story
At K3D, we push the boundaries of human protection through the design of innovative 3D-printed structures. Based in Montreal, we are a design, research and development center and production farm dedicated to creating protection technologies at the intersection of performance, lightness and comfort.
Our expertise is based on advanced mastery of 3D printing (FDM), which we exploit to design and produce complex, flexible structures optimized to absorb impacts. Thanks to our internal infrastructure and our multidisciplinary team, we are able to prototype quickly, iterate without constraints and produce in small and medium series with unmatched precision.
We have built our reputation by developing next-generation sports helmet liners, adapted to the requirements of high-level sport. Our collaboration with LIGHT Helmets in the NFL, and testing conducted by Virginia Tech, position our technology among the most efficient on the market. Our Gladiator Thunder and Apache helmets already rank among the best in the NFL and North American college football.
But our ambition doesn't stop there. We see 3D printing not only as a manufacturing tool, but as an innovation engine in the service of human protection. Our projects now extend to other sectors: hockey, cycling, skiing, construction, defense... always with the same approach: innovate through design, validate through science, produce with agility.
